Campion Hills Allotment Association

Adopting a plot

Before agreeing to rent an allotment plot, you need to think carefully about what you want from your allotment and how much time you can devote to it. A full size plot is a big commitment and will probably need plenty of hard work particularly in the early stages. It’s a good idea to visit the site by arrangement first to see the allotments for yourself and talk to someone who’s already got a plot. Read through the association’s rules as well to make sure you understand what’s expected and get your questions answered.

Once you have decided you want to go ahead you can apply for a plot by completing the contact form.
Like most allotment associations there may be a waiting list but a committee member will contact you and let you know roughly how long you may have to wait for a plot to become available. From time to time there may be overgrown plots available immediately.

If you are new to gardening or growing fruit and veg, there are plenty of experienced plot holders on site who can give you lots of advice and encouragement and it won’t be long before you are enjoying the satisfaction of growing and eating your own food.
